How to Apply Stucco to ICF Walls

We applied hard coat stucco over our ICF walls and are very happy with the result. Basically gives a fireproof house.

We need a video on drywalling or adding a T-bar grid on a ceiling surface made with BuildDeck since there aren't embedded webs or other attachment options.

We like to use 50% overlap with the standard 4.5oz mesh. This doubling greatly increases impact resistance without extra labor, or special mesh.

Do you leave a 1" gap between concrete and the stucco?

Traditional stucco applications require a metal screen mesh that is screwed to the sheathing, with a drain mat behind it. I foresee this stucco coming off in sheets, with no more adhesion than they are providing. This is heavy material that can absorb moisture. No Bueno!

Is there a reason that roof's made with ICF is not a common occurrence? The last video I saw with an ICF roof was from around 2009. I'd think the house would be indestructible against even the most powerful wrath of mother nature.
