In todays, video, we are looking at Bridgerton new clips and spoilers where Colin fell in love with Penelope.

I wanted to comment on the title. Colin did not fall in love with Penelope at any one moment. Rather it has built gradually all along. Colin has BEEN in love with her, but he just lacks the self-awareness to realize it yet. The actor Luke has deliberately been playing it that way since season 1 too, as he has read the book Romancing Mr. Bridgerton which this season is based off. Yes there will absolutely be changes to the story from the book and I'm looking forward to them. But his love for Penelope is NOT a sudden bolt of lightning. Rather it's a shift in perception. It's more him 'realising' he's in love with her, which may or may not happen all at once. In the books it happens gradually first he realizes she's pretty then he realizes he wants to kiss her, then he wants her then eventually he realizes he loves her.

I feel conflicted about Pen's 'transformation'. I get that she takes control and wants to feel like herself but at the same time, it being the 'beginning' of Colins changing perspective and seeing Pen for Pen is kind of unfortunate. A girl grabbing a guys attention she's known is hinged on a grand transformation trope feels so overplayed and shallow

That's not exactly the way it happens in the book, which is fine. I prefer surprises, but i do hope it's at least as funny, chaotic, and natural feeling as the book.

"The best foundation for love is friendship" one of thest quotes ever. My problem is that he appeared to have disrespected Penelope. Although I am convinced there was more to what he said than what she heard because she ran off upset. Him not being in love with her yet wasn't the crime. Because up to that point even if he wasn't in love with her he was always supportive and treated her like someone that he loves. Being a friend is not a crime.
Now he's waking up. I loved the clip with mean girl who spilled the drink on her having her mouth hang open. (I swear I can't remember her name) Cressida that's it.
