Hi great studio and very well exposed ! just a curiosity, you haven't any passive correction on the wall front of you, and furtermore the little neafield Gibbon have the bass reflex port against the wall, so many acoustic problems...why not a foam ? Thanks

Howdy! You helped me some months ago when I couldn't record on my presonus studio 1 prime. It was working ok up to yesterday but when I tried to record some vocals today I couldn't. Recording guitar parts is also not possible. I can hear the microphone through headphones but the red light to enable recording doesn't go on. Neither does the 'peak' red light at input 1 for mics. By the way, after your excellent advice last time I tried to contribute to your site but Paypal doesn't work for me - never has! Please help again!!

Txs, inspiring as before. If you can/feel like then please help me with this: SHould I apply compression to my microhone, as an insert effect of the MOXF8 Yamaha synthesizer, into which the mic is plugged? Or should I not apply any effects to the microphone before the mixing stage. I use Cubase and really don't know much about the effects therein. I have applied some generally accepted compressor as an insert ON my synthesizer as said. I have now chosen to discard the reverb effect as applied onto my mic signal which I hear as feedback from either the loudspeakers or headpones when recording. I did that after finally getting clear about reverb being a bad idea before the mixing level. HOwever I wonder how to hear my singing with reverb applied without it being recorded as my audio track. I think that is a question to pose elsewhere. I applied it to my audio signal coming from the SYnth, and going to the speakers as well, because my reverbed singing inspires me much more than the dry sound. SO I guess its a very tech specific question, how to apply the reverb just to my monitoring sound while not to my recording signal in the DAW. Cheers D

Very Nice video. Thanks, I know that some people don't like to show things. I did see something that caused me to ask a question. I see you have now the Studio Live and the other Presonus 1820 I believed you called it. I also see your Windows 10 computer. Are you using the Presonus universal control? or are you using ASIO4ALL driver? If you are using the ASIO4ALL driver do you lose any of the presonus features by using this driver? One of the reasons I ask is because I had a problem with playing youtube videos and doing other work on my computer, it was so bad that I build a new computer with a better CPU and more RAM and I still have the same problem. SO I activated the onboard motherboard audio card and it did resolve the issue but now I am forced to go through headphones to listen to anything else on the computer.
