I'm was one of the lucky ones that got to fly this jet for 8 years until I injured my back in an unrelated accident. There is actually footage of me flying on the video at :57 and a little past. My jet and I are the ones with DC 314 on the vertical tail stabilizer. I miss flying every minute of my life as you can probably tell with me watching flying videos on my laptop sitting on my porch while it's raining. Glad I finally found the video.

Love the F-16!  My Dad was a lead engineer on designing the first "fly by wire" system for a fighter.  Amazing innovation for a early 70's designed aircraft.

My dad was a Crew Chief for an F-16 at Handcock air field before they phased them out for the MQ-9 Reapers. F-16 Falcons have always been the most impressive and deadly looking fighter jets ever. If you haven’t seen the Thunder Birds at an air show, it’s an experience you’ll never forget!

When I was a young boy back in the mid 70's in Rochester, NY, I remember reading through a General Dynamics magazine my dad brought home from work featuring the F-16. I enjoyed looking at the pics of planes, subs and other various military equipment they manufactured. Years later I learned he was part of the engineering team that designed the plane's navigational system. Sadly, it's been decades since G.D. had a presence in Rochester. The countless smokestacks that once lined Rochester's industrial skyline are nearly gone now, and the few that remain produce little to no smoke. Boy how times have changed. 😓

since the first time I saw the movie Iron Eagle when I was just a kid I fell in love with the F-16.  Such a versatile and innovative aircraft.  With the side flight stick.  open feel of the cockpit and canopy.
