I just watched 10 videos about this, and this was the most thorough 👏🏻👏🏻

Perfect. I was looking for a clear explanation of Collections last night. Thanks again, Ryan.

Really great! Covered what I needed to know. Few tutorials goes deep into the outliner even though you use it a lot

Hi, thanks for the video. It's very well explained and I could back to basics and understand all the details more deeply

As a suggestion, it would be great if you make a tutorial like that about scenes, managing objects through libraries and linking blender files. Most of the tutorials I found are related to isolated items and modeling and it's hard to find content explaining about dealing with many objects for short films or bigger projects.

Thank you for sharing this knowledge!

Great tutorial! But how do you save the filter view settings? In Preferences? Blender's default is minimal so I always have to reset those filter views. Thanks.

Can you move one collection folder to another without dragging the folder? Is there an shortcut key that kind of works like the "M" key (except for folders and not objects)?

Great breakdown ! however at 0:58 your comparison between collections and folders is a bit misleading : files cannot be contained in more than one folder, however any object in Blender can be contained in any number of collections (which is one of the selling points of collections for scene management and rendering).

Good on you for explaining the difference between the eye and the monitor toggles, this is often misunderstood.

Great tutorial, thanks! Can I ask how do you enable colors for Collections' icons?

I think Select Hierarchy should be better as default and select current parent as optional.

Thanks for the tutorial. I have one doubt, how to manage hundreds of objects with so many collections. Is there any options to purge unwanted collection, orphan data not deleting an empty collection.

Thank you! I am trying to make it through CG boosts cubic worlds course. I find the use of collections and instances very confusing in it. I keep having to start over and try to stay organized. We are using lots of parented objects with instances. Then using the make instances real and deleting the original's. I just keep getting my collections so screwed up. This will help me some. thank you

how to select fast multiple objects in different collections?

Blender is not made for game development period. One jey feauture Blender doesnt have, is to simply group several FBX files in which a new pivot is created, then center this pivot with clean transform for game export.
