In this video I show you how to make outlines in blender. Outlines look great combined with toon shaders / cell shaders I reveal my secrets e.g. how to make outline with grease pencil, or using the compositor. I show the good old inverted hull method, but with a flip this time because I tell you how to make outlines with geometry nodes as well. I cover line art, freestyle, dashed outlines and skin modifier.

Dude you are the goat, I have never seen a more precise outline technic explanation ever, normally people only teach one and move on, thank you for your wisdom

Good Sir, it is my humble opinion that your channel is possibly the most underrated blender channel on YouTube. You should be over 100, 000 subscribers like yesterday. I don't share many YouTube videos but you sir need to be well know in the community. Dude you are Fresh! Excellent video!!!!

its unfair that nobody talks about the godlike transition as in 4:42

I don't remember if I commented yet or not, but I need to say that I just don't know why you don't have more subscribers. This is the only channel I have ever seen talk about this, and I needed it so long ago. The geometry nodes thing is giving me a bit of anxiety, but it also is exactly what i need. I needed to be able to add rounded corners on the inside of things, not to mention I want to do anime, and most of the time, the insides of lines are like that. This is genuinely glorious. And the ability to edit the line art and make it look more interesting is something I have wanted for ages. My only wish is that the lines could look like some of my fave line art tools I use. I love going for an intentionally scratchy look. It makes drawings look more visually appealing, and helps an artist stand out from the typical Instagram artists because it being less perfect and polished makes it better.

This video as a whole is amazing and taught me a bunch of new things (all of them I find difficult to comprehend), so, with that, would you be able to create a longer or individual videos explaining each of these tips slower? Watching this felt like a speedrun lol

This is my fist time here and I just really had to say that I LOVE your content. I'm a 2D artist who is very much intrigued with Blender and 3d modelling but don't have any motivation in learning by creating 3D looking stuff. I'm just not interested in that art style but your channel hits perfectly where my interest lies in. Please keep expanding on these topics!

PUT BLENDER IN THE TITLE. I skipped this video while searching three times bc I thought it was for digital artists. I'm very sure others have too.
