✅ 101 Dynamic Brand Strategy Questions

How does your target audience shape your marketing strategy and how can you build your strategy around your audience?

In fact, getting this step is the most critical step in developing your entire brand strategy. Get it wrong and you can kiss your hopes of building a successful brand goodbye.

With that, here’s what you’re going to learn

First, I’ll show you how every brand strategy element used throughout your marketing, is developed directly from the target audience you define, including;

• Competitors
• Differentiator
• Positioning Strategy
• Positioning Statement
• Human Brand Persona
• Brand Personality & Archetype
• Brand Voice & Language
• Messaging Framework
• Storytelling Framework
• Brand Identity System
• Brand Expression

Next, we’ll discover the techniques you can use to define your audience persona (or buyer persona) so you can understand them and empathise with them on a human level. Without uncovering how to empathise, your messages will fall on deaf ears.

Then, we’ll uncover demographics and psychographics not as the strategy but as the starting point of defining your audience and what the secret ingredient is to resonating with them

Finally, we’ll separate the internal and external conflict of your target audience which shapes your communication strategy.

In the end, you’ll understand how the audience shapes the strategy, the secret to connecting and the psychology behind resonating.

So you said that for the demographics you’ve got the find out what they’re job is etc. How am I going to find out what a random persons job is without asking them or stalking them on Facebook?

Thank you. Resignates perfectly. I've watched this 5 times because of kid interruption but very insightful when I actually got to "listen". 💚

Hey Stephen. I’ve been using the Value Proposition Design canvas in my workshop sessions and together with the client we go through the process to uncover who their audience is. I like this method as I’m able to challenge ideas without being confrontational, also a great resource to refer back to. Are you using anything similar?
