Smokers, over eaters, over drinkers, are they going to hell?

One of the biggest questions I get is from smokers who wonder if they are going to hell because they cannot kick the habit. This video examines scripture and emotional causes to answer these questions.

I was addicted to pain killers most of my life though I hated alcohol. In April of 2000 I was in a very bad place and began to drink. I ended up in a 9 day coma and in need of a liver transplant but would not receive one. I woke on day 10 and was sent home to die 2 days later! I was told to return to Temple Hospital in Philadelphia in a month to have my liver checked “If I was still alive”! I was and I did. That day the doctors were confounded and told me I had a BRAND NEW LIVER! They said it was perfect! I did not learn my lesson and ended up in a 4 day coma exactly one year later! Again my life was saved! My point is I did it to myself yet was healed not once but twice! Needless to say I cried out to Jesus for the first time in my life! (I was a Catholic then)! He actually appeared to me, standing behind my left shoulder and whispered two words to me. Those words were followed by a download of information! He said MY CHILD! I knew he meant he saved my life because he loved me! Then I KNEW he was telling me to research the Catholic Church and he also told me I was chosen before my birth to work for him in THESE END DAYS! I had no clue what that meant! I researched not only the church but everything from The Illuminati, Georgia guides tones, CERN and so much more! I was told in school never read the Bible! Once I became born again I understood why Sister Mary Grace told that to our class! So Jesus will save you from yourself! He broke an addiction I had for over 40 years! I had been in and out of rehab and AA and NA! Each time going through withdrawal! Only when Jesus delivered me did I stop and had no withdrawal! PRAISE JESUS! He is Mighty to Save!❤️

I’m addicted to cigarettes. Realizing I am the temple of the Holy Spirit I really want to quit. It’s been tough. I am in on and off again smoker. I finally thought the other day to ask the Lord to allow me to hate them as much as he must hate them. As a Christian I want to love what he loves and hate what he hates. I’m hoping I can get some thing in my spirit that moves me enough to be willing to kick this habit once and for all

Thanks for this. I am a smoker and this often worries me. When I became born again I prayed to be delivered from my sins and I was free'd from many, but not smoking. I suspect that when I die and enter the spiritual realm my smoking habit/addiction will be left behind.. I hope that is true!

Perfectly said. No one leaves earth with a clean slate which humbles us all. You’re unsaved because of unbelief in the Lord Jesus and saved due to your belief in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. John 3:16 has summarized it for everyone who doubts their salvation. As mentioned, we’re born again, recreated in our spirit-man.
We’re accountable to growth as John mentioned in previous videos, that’s where fellowship and walking in love plays out.
And I appreciate how today’s teaching succinctly describes how, as we walk in the Spirit, obedience flows from the spirit to the renewal of mind which will help overcome the body.

Whew lord. Pray for me. I’m a smoker everyday, I’ve stopped and god stripped it down some. I feel it I’m almost at the end of this thing, it’s just that last drop that’s left, that god is cleaning out. It’s so funny because I fasted for almost months without it. But it hit me again, any pointers for quitting?


I definitely am spiritual, I’m celibate, it’s just this one thing. And this guy is right, just because you do something, it doesn’t make you less in Christ. We’re all striving everyday shouldn’t be hard on ourselves because we have accomplished more than we know!

I'm glad you said 'mostly' the LORD doesn't just heal instantly. Because I know a lady he Delivered of a 10year habit of crack cocaine...just like that! She woke up the next morning Completely and totally Delivered! And the LORD Promised her she'd never go back to it.

I may never be able to stop smoking, because it is so tied into another struggle I have ( it's not pornography or anything like it), but it's so tied into my childhood and so into my emotional needs at that time; but it would be better if I could quit. Please someone, even just one person who can pray for me for 1 minute of your time. I need prayer against gluttony and over eating.
It’s a struggle I have been dealing with for a few years now. There may be chemical reasons that it’s happening. I take seroquel at night to regulate my mood disorder and I do notice an hour after intake the tablets I will feel my stomach hunger and it’s like I feel I have to eat otherwise i can’t sleep. Sometimes I wake up at 3 in the morning and will eat sugary carbohydrates.
When I feel emotional I will binge eat chocolate until I’m sick. It’s not normal and I regret it after I do it.
My brain needs help. I need help. I have high blood pressure now and kidney cysts that have turned into complex cysts I am worried it might change into cancer but at this stage it’s not cancer.
Please help I need deliverance serious deliverance from gluttony and over eating and so does my husband James who has lived as obese most of his adult life. My name is Sarah. Please pray if you have time Thankyou ❤
