The thing I heard the most from developers is that car manufacturers tend to have long lists of rules for their cars to be in the game which tends to be a headache to deal with (like, one manufacturer may ask not to display a single glimpse of damage on their vehicles in the game for instance, or in the case of ferrari where they tell developers not to allow any sort of modification on their vehicles in the games)

Some don't like their cars being shown while chased by the police, that's why racing games with large car lists (300+ cars) like The Crew 2 or Forza Horizon do not have police chases in them while games with smaller car lists (less than 150 cars) like Need for Speed have them with limited number of existing manufacturers

Simply car manufacturers didn't want to see their cars brand getting smashed in a video game

Well the fact that a lot of brands wouldn't like to associate themselves with GTA because of everything else that happens in GTA with or using the cars. Also I actually like that they don't license. Allows them to have that childish humour and satire in every single corner of the game like they have had. Who doesn't love Pfisters instead of Porsches?

Actually I much prefer the fictional manufacturers. This way it's much more interesting and the designers are very good. It also keeps me very excited for the next GTAO updates

In order not to lose money it was better to make copies of those companies and that currently looks cool

My favorite car brand in GTA V is Pfister.

That's not the main reason. The main reason is that car brands didn't wanna see their brand in a game that is literally promoting crimes and violence.

They want to be as creative as they can, then proceed with matching design of the exact same cars in real life. Very creative I must say.

I mean also not to mention the game is literally called "Grand theft auto"
Which literally means stealing a car. I could understand if they didn't want to be a part of that.

this was planned in vc beta but removed in vc final and since after that other gtas dont have any brand cars

So it's been a solid 10 years since gta v be better off to try ik we have if gta 6 is soppose to be bigger and much better then all the previous gta games it would be nice if rock stair with all these upgrades coming for gta 6 I don't see why u guys can't add real cars in not to mention u guys made billions of gta v why not add more into it to make the game stand out more u would attract more of different types gameplay and role-playing and more opportunities for players to have whatever kind of vehicles they ot them would appreciate instead of the stale old gta brand cars all the time people would like a change for once

Meanwhile Ace Combat did the opposite... Fictional world, real plane. Also multiple countries flying F-22s and F-35s instead of just one.

Stuppid because you wont find better advertisment for the brand. 1 billion views in 24h says it all. I see it as a gready and lazy move. Because companies would pay money on top to make car fastest in the game. What if all brands wants the same? Well release the car every 6 months. There is nothing more powerful than a consumer who grew up liking in this point car brand.
