Microsoft released Office 2021 which is available for both macOS and Windows. It’s made for those who do not want to enroll in the subscription model of Microsoft 365. For Excel users this is a huge jump from Excel 2016 or Excel 2019.

At least 9 new functions were introduced which will change the way you use Excel. This includes XLOOKUP, FILTER, UNIQUE, and SEQUENCE.
In this video I'll quickly explain these new functions and also which additional features you can look forward to in PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
(Note: What's NOT included in Excel for Office 2021 are the new Lambda and Lambda helper functions).

Remember: If you have Office 365 you already have all these features. Plus you'll get new features as they roll out.

Where I can get a cheap key for office 2021?

Even though I have Microsoft 365, I watched anyway. Some of these features are new to me. There's so much new stuff that it is hard to keep up. The big advantage of less complex formula's is not only the ease of use, but also less chance of errors. Troubleshooting these complex formula's can be so time-consuming. I think Microsoft is doing a great job.

1:54 Spilling in Dynamic Array function - no need to dragging. hmm, that seems clean.
4:27 Automatically updating range using tables - wow, that's cool.
10:35 F9 to refresh
11:35 LET function is useful, but what's more amazing is that it took MS soo long to realise and implement this. 😄😆😅
12:45 having such a top level button for autosave is cool 👍

I've been using the xlookup function since you highlighted it months ago and it completely blows the normal index-match function away. The sort and filter functions look really handy as well. Thanks for the video.

I started creating my own library of macros and UDFs many years ago (probably around 2003 office) and it always surprised me/delighted me/frustrated me how many of my macros became obsolete with the next office release. I'm curious if you have inside view of the direction Microsoft is going. For a while it looked like the writing was on the wall for VBA and VSTO was the next big thing .... but VSTO seems to have faded into the background and VBA is alive an well. Power Query also seemed to be super powerful and made its way from Power BI to Excel fairly fast. I wonder where it is all going.

I have 365 at home and at work. I used most of these functions all the time now. I love them. FILTER being my favorite and most used.

Love when you compare the new functions to the way we used to work without them.

By the fact I've got Office 365, all these new features are not really new to me. However, it's always nice to watch Leila explaining them in video! There's always some example in which I learn how to apply something when I need.

Simply brilliant Leila. Your videos are so helpful. I use Excel regularly (& Word, PP, Outlook). Although a regular, basic user, I'm certainly not a power user (wish I was). I now appreciate why Microsoft has MVP's. Your contribution to the community is very much appreciated.

Hi there. Very helpful video! However, I have a question. When I boot up my laptop, my laptop isn't able to read my brand new SSD. I already tried different solutions like downloading the F6 drivers into USB drive, initialize the brand new SSD on different computer. However, none of them work. What can I do please?12:12

Nice summary video of all the new Excel features. 365 is such a great value when you consider how many people you can share it with, the fact that everyone gets 1TB of storage and that you can use your license across multiple PC's. BTW if your company is a Microsoft enterprise customer, you also can get 20% off on a 365 license. I didn't get paid to say all that 😁

Hello ma'am, our CEO shared one of your morph videos for us to use in our company presentations. I was so mesmerized by it that I had our IT guy upgrade my laptop's MS-Office 2016 to Office 365. I hope there's no constraint of Office 21 being compatible only with Windows 11 or something like that though :P
