All these people complaining about union workers getting paid. But a grade 4 mechanic after 4 years with that last contract offer would still make less than a UPS driver delivering packages. If UPS can afford to pay their people so can Boeing.

Boeing has not make any profit since 2018 and their debt keep piling up. Q3 earning just reported a huge lost. Mega layoff can't be avoided and this new CEO is no joke. He will do whatever it takes to save the company.

Lets not forget years and years of company miss handling and gutting of the engineering core by the upper echelon. The labor movement needs to be strong to let them know its time for the pendulum to start to come back and re-align the true Boeing spirit and support the people that actually do the work. Honestly this contract was very close for everyone I talked to. If they had same offer with more pto and shorter progression steps to max out it probably would have been accepted
