In this tutorial, I demonstrate 2 methods of applying sleeves + How to hem your sleeves for a clean professional finish.
MATERIALS used: Tailor Chalk, Knit Fabric
**NOTE** In this video I show how to do a stay stitch on your sleeves. Stay stitching is normally a basting stitch that you sew on curved areas of your fabric pieces. The purpose is to keep your curved areas from stretching or distorting. Its a very easy but important step, so you should always do it if your pattern directions call for it.
You can also do a gathering stitch on the sleeves for the perfect fit.

Girl, thank you I could not understand how to do a hemline stitch. Thanks for the tips for the sleeve with the shirt opened before you sew it. I forgot about this method I have been using the base stitch. Great job!

This is great, I wanted to take sleeves off of one shirt (because I hate baby doll sleeves but I love the shirt itself) and sew sleeves from an older shirt on but I didn't want to have to take the stitching out long ways down the sleeve to make it flat, so I really appreciate you showing the second method, I know someone said it was a home sewers method in the comments but it really helps for what I'm trying to do!!

This was so helpful! I've been thinking for a couple weeks about how to sew the sleeves onto a prayer dress I'm making, but I couldn't find a specific tutorial.
