Omg! The simple "pinch it here & flip"!! I just couldn't figure it out reading the manual. Thank you so much!

This is the first time I've heard and seen such a clear definition of how that's done.  Most people who try to instruct go too fast and assume that the non-sewer understands every point and term the teacher uses.  The flipping of the hem is tricky unless it's as thoroughly explained as you've done it.  I'll be looking for more of your videos.

This was the clearest explanation on YouTube I have found. Thank you.

Finally, one person who made it crystal clear! Thanks Angela!
UPD: just saw that all comments are almost identical!
Btw Angela reminds me very much of Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) from the show ‘House’! Maybe because she is as sharp as a doctor!
Saved so many of my sewing projects.❤

I have been trying to learn how to do this for years. This was the first time that I saw so clearly how to flip the fabric, and where to place my stitching. I am an experienced sewer, but I’ve never been able to master the blind hem. Since watching your video I’ve been able to do four. Thank you so much for posting this!

I am a single dad, self taught sewing. Your video just saved me a lot of money. I just used this technique to take up my daughters school skirt, and it came out perfect, thank you.

Angela, your manner, your facial expressions, your cheeriness of voice, your assumption of comradery with your viewers––those qualities shine from your personality, and your teaching is a joy to involve myself with. Thanks.

May Allah SWT bless you for being clear, honest and sincere. A very clear and detailed explanation on the blind stitching. 👌

Of the many tutorials on this topic, I have found this to be the easiest to follow.  Have been hemming pants by hand for so many years and decided to buy a machine.  Today is my first try at a blind stitch hem using my new machine.  Wish me luck!

I had a little bit of a hard time trying to get it right but at the end I finally made it. I wish you could make the same exercise using some real pants ❤🎉

Tried some sewing today on my wife's sewing machine, its her pride and joy, I'm not allowed to touch it so I touched it, I tried this on my pants because my wife usually does it though shes not here at the moment, I did it myself, looks awesome though I broke the needle to the machine because I had a small pair of scissors under the material so I just put the machine back as if I didn't touch it.
So moral of the story is if all else fails, *DENY DENY DENY*

You explained this so wonderfully that a baby could’ve understood it. THANK YOU! So helpful!

I purchased a new sewing machine last fall, and today was the first time I needed to do a hem in a dress. The machine's manual had not ONE thing in about how to use the foot (which looks different than yours, the machine is a Pfaff QE 4.2)!

I was a bit miffed given how much one has to pay for machines these days. So come to the rescue YouTube and Angela Wolf!  Thank you for taking the time to post your videos, they are always very well presented. Ann in NC

Thank you this is the 1st time blind hems have made sense to me. Have read my machines manual and read about the blind hem so many times but not completely understood it so have put it in the too hard basket. Stumbled across this video looking for something else and it all clicked in my head.

The bit of information I needed was just snuck in from 0:54-0:59 - had to slow that bit right down and watch it about five times. Thats all I needed! Thank you!
