VS Code extensions that I can't live without!

I'm *far* from a VS Code power user, but that doesn't mean that I don't use a handful of extensions!
As someone who writes primarily HTML and CSS, these are the ones that I find the most useful for my workflow:

#vscode

Come hang out with other dev's in my Discord Community

---

Keep up to date with everything I'm up to

---

Help support my channel

---

---

I'm on some other places on the internet too!

If you'd like a behind the scenes and previews of what's coming up on my YouTube channel, make sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter.

And whatever you do, don't forget to keep on making your corner of the internet just a little bit more awesome!

"Colorize" is really useful for getting a quick preview of the colour you've set something to. It even works with custom variables!

I wanted something similar to the bracket colorizer but that worked on html and found one called "color the tag name" and absolutely loved it

I really loved the color theme of Atom when i used that tool. Now i've moved to VSCode and was very happy that the color theme of Atom was available for VSCode. Best of both worlds for me.

Thank you so much! Like, this was very useful for me. Especially the Auto Tag Rename and the Bracket Pair Colourizer 2 are the best!

Liked this video a lot! Thank you. Especially the live server😂 I hate refreshing my browser. I've always used VS Code I really do believe is the best text editor out there.

I still use a 'full stack' web server in my dev environment. I use Laragon, which installs Apache, PHP and MySQL, for CMS development.

And while I used to compile my css with gulp... I now use liveSass in VSCode, which makes my css compiling much easier.

Try the "Biscuits" extensions. They label what closing brackets are from. I cant go back to closing brackets that started screens ago and I don't know what they are closing.

Here's a tip: if live server doesn't appear on startup or when you open a workspace, you can still right-click on an HTML file and then click "open with live server"!

Another similar color theme to *Atom One Dark Theme* (the one that I use and initially thought you were using) is the *One Monokai Theme*. It is also based on the *One Dark Pro* theme, so it looks very similar.

thanks for this helpful video. I use the kite for better suggestions in the autocomplete box.

A pretty cool for me is Kite for autocompletion. Definitely deserve a try.

Live Sass Compiler is also a very nice one... and MinifyAll a useful one too. By the way... Happy Christmas to everyone!

I used all the extensions you used except for Prettier. The reason I don't use prettier anymore it redo the way I like my comments. My two suggestions are Material Icon Theme & Duplicate action.
