thx I was struggeling to switch html formater to prettier... and this command was helpfull @lang:html default formatter if you selected html formater by clicking on it when you press ctrl + shift + p and then click on 'document formater'.

But it don't format predecessor directive in c++

I really dont click with prettier at all. Wanted to give it another chance yesterday - after almost none of my editor settings changed anything at all I tried configuring it via the config file for a workspace and it messed up even more like breaking every line after 80 characters(?!) even changing the setting didnt do anything. The testfile I used lost sooo much readability because of that. and all that because vscode default formatted cant live with chained methods in new lines lol. no more autoindenting the whole file for me then

Prettier does not respect my indentation setting. It very commonly formats HTML indentation poorly and it adds closing slashes to void elements - which is not a thing in HTML. The built in formatter is superior, unless you spend a long time configuring. And in any case, nicely styled code is sometimes simply not possible with simple automatic rules, you have to judge the situation by hand case by case. Would not recommend.
