Ranking EVERY Weapon in Minecraft

With the release of the Minecraft 1.21 Tricky Trials update, a lot of people have been discussing what weapon is the best to use in the game. That’s because of the release of the Mace, which is one of the most interesting weapons minecraft has ever added. So today I’ve compiled about 30 items I think could be considered weapons and I’ll be throwing them into a tier list! So join me as I rank every weapon in minecraft!

Fun Fact: In the old 1.16 combat snapshots, they introduced a new mechanic for weapons: reach. The trident and hoe (?) had the longest reach at 3.5 blocks, the sword was unchanged at 3 blocks, and the axe, pickaxe, and shovel had the lowest attack reach at 2.5 blocks. Additionally, the hoe was given the fastest attack speed in the game, and increased its damage slightly.

You can't go wrong with the mace. I love items that are powerful but hard to use. It's surprisingly practical too!

I'd sort weapons between 2 sections. Traditional weapons (like a sword, axe, mace) and untraditional weapons (flint and steel, anvil, snowball)

I really wish they made fire charges throwable, it'd make them actually somewhat useful rather than being a worse flint and steel (especially since they added wind charges, which _can_ be thrown)


Also using the respawn anchor isn't as expensive as you said it is, you only need 1 charge for it to explode instead of 4, you just have to click it with something that isn't a glowstone (it's a small difference, really the most expensive part is the crying obsidian)

With respawn anchors, you only need to place 1 glowstone block in them for them to be able to blow up.

Some accuracies

Tnt minecarts can deal more damage if you shoot it with a fully charged bow
REspawn Anchors only need 1 glowstone in them if you switch hotbar slot

I like using sweet berry bushes as barbed wire. Makes for a surprisingly good defense against raids… minus Ravengers…
