super cool, its amazing what a microscope like this would have cost like 5-10 years ago and its a pretty solid proposition at that price. Laser timings such a great use case! always looking for ways to improve and fine tune. Thanks for sharing Alex

Awesome, honestly didn't know what I would use one for until I watched this. Love that you can see exactly the lines of the laser marking

I do a lot of color filled engraving in firearms, either unit can help me get better finishes on the color fill. Currently I use a 10X jeweler loupe, it does the job but limits my visibility and ties one hand to hold it. In addition, it can help me withlaser adjustments to minimize burrs that really make color filling a pain!

I am into scale modeling - I use this on lower settings to help see assembling or detailing painting

Thank you for the review! Huge help in making sure I am not wasting funds on a more expensive scope that I wont need.

I know this video is 2 years old (I know I'm late to the party) at this point and ppl may or may not be using it anymore (or have tried this on there own). But if the WIFI on the Jiusion is like the WIFI on my dashcam you have to make sure you are connected to the Jiusion network on your phone (which disconnects you from the internet) for the camera to make the connection and allow you to see the image on your phone.

My son-in-law who is a coin collector has the Dcorn and I was so impressed that I wanted one for botany details (pollen, stigma, plant hairs etc.). He surprised me with one for a Christmas gift and it does work great but the documentation/instructions suck. Your video helps a lot. The microscope defaults to 50 hz instead of the USA 60 hz setting and also defaults to a low resolution instead of the 5 megapixel maximum. Also, on the Windows camera app you only get a low resolution screen shot of what is normally fed to the 7 inch monitor, so it seems to be best to capture the photo to the micro sd card on the unit. I am sure there are other things I will learn as I use this, but if you have other tips not included in your video, or if you know a source for clear instructions on the settings, please post them here. I also use a Google Pixel phone (jut bought the new 6 pro) so would be interested in any tips about using it with this microscope. I am not into lasers so not a subscriber on your website. Thanks for this great review!

I use a jewellers loupe. You can angle the workpiece, your eye, and light to see depth. Ive also started using a dentists mirror, after a long cycle I can better check on progress instead of getting my head under the lens area.
I like the idea of a scope though...

I love microscopes. Aside from using it on laser work I would use it to look at things around the yard and on the shoreline. Plants, insects, critters in the water, etc. I used to volunteer with a small marine life center in coastal WA and I would do winter time, nighttime plankton drags from a dock as an evening program. It was a lot of gear to setup but it was a very popular program. This would have made it a piece of cake. If you have kids or teach school grab one and use the heck out of it!!!! BTW. To use with water samples a small, inexpensive plankton net would be great. That and a small Petri dish, and maybe some welled microscope slides and slip covers and you are set to go!!! Not to mention all the uses in your shop!!!! Also, the ring lights and separately controllable gooseneck lights with separate controls are probably worth the extra money of the larger unit by themselves. Play with filters or filter sheets as well on the lights and over the lens. A circular polarizer held over the lens might be a real help too. Very (sorry....I babble a lot! <grin>)

Where does the magnification come in? Is there a lens that magnifies or is this all done through a normal camera lens and the magnification is all digital?
If all digital, I thought it is how would a 50 or 100 megapixel phone camera snapshot zoom in image compare with one of these microscope images?

They are awesome. I want a laser so bad. I was use it for my printer. I use a little magnifying glass for configuration this would be much better. 👍

I received my 30W JPT from Mactron this week, I am busy setting up the settings but at the Configuration Parameters then Other tab, the "NEW" laser is showing "Total Mark Time = 34493 sec" Does this mean he send me a secondhand machine, just in a "New shiny" case?
Please help if you can

I was looking into the to use for magnification while engraving. None of them will work, they all need to be to close to the object to be able to do any work while the lens is over it. I guess the only option really is a real binocular microscope so about 400 minimum for magnification. It's a shame these done have a long enough focal length to be able to use while working on things on a ball vice.

Too bad they don't measure. Great image though. Thank you...
