Consumption over Time (Integral as Net Change) • [8.1b] AP CALCULUS

The concept of definite integral of rate as net change is applied to a problem of consumption over time. The definite integral is evaluated using technology as well as analytically.
My instructional approach emphasizes conceptual understanding of and connections between concepts and ideas, rather than just pure memorization.

Corresponds to section 7.1 or 8.1 (depending on edition) in Pearson's Calculus: Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic, student textbook, but also fits with the definite integrals unit from almost any other AP or first year Calculus textbook or course.
