As a NH saltwater fisherman I have never heard someone say “ah man, not another bluefin tuna”. However I have heard complaints about too many blue sharks when targeting tuna

I live in Arkansas and the only fish in our area are bass or pan fish and maybe catfish not much else

Here in Florida I've heard people say "all I can catch here is garfish" and I'm like "really??" Gar are a pain in the ass to catch sometimes but I love them.

Not many people like to catch pike in MN but they are one of my favorites. I wish I had access to salt water fishing though, would love to go shark fishing or even to experience the ocean itself 😍

Blue gill sunfish basically any panfish the get kinda big near me but they are EVERYWHERE

Anyone on the northern half of the east coast knows this fish. The good old porgy. A fish that grows to almost never over 5lbs and is just a jumbo bluegill. They are wonderful tablefare and are almost always willing to bite. They are extremely scrappy fighters. Slowly growing in popularity and rightfully so.

Snakehead here in Maryland Virginia has them too the northern snakehead people love

I guess Midwestern people don't get real steelhead, so that I guess, but I wish I could fish for pike and musky in washington, only place to do that is in the Columbia River and it's pretty limited

I hate catching gar and grinnel. They are nasty and mess up your line and lure every time because I catch some big ones

Saltwater Blue Catfish and saltwater Angel Catfish, they can be overwhelming in the bayous and brackish water but also overwhelming in sea grass as well, fun fight and my PB is a 35lb angel cat that was almost 4’ long but can really take a toll if your not fishing for them because they are just overwhelming lol thats the only word i can use to describe it, they’ll eat anything! Artificial or not, top water, bottom fishing you name it.

I don't know if they're actually sunfish, but- freshwater Sunfish was the first fish I ever remember catching. It was sorta flat and yellowish, so that's what my moms dad called it. I kept catching them, I wanted to catch something else lol. That was years ago, and I haven't caught another since.

It is funny because they just disregard these nice fish in search of a weaker, smaller fish. What infuriates me more are the anglers who kill large pike because they eat the 1-2 lb LMB
