Let your kid go with whichever parent they want to go with. I promise you, if you are both good parents the kid will be sure to spend plenty of time with each parent.

My parents divorced when I was 8 and that’s how we did it. Your kid cares about your feelings and will make sure you’re happy. No reason to force them to go anywhere they don’t want to go even if it’s just a weekend.

Co-parenting never ends well in a divorce situation. Resentment and hostility comes with the territory. If they were emotionally mature enough to consider the impact of their tone, actions, words, etc.. on their children, they probably would still be married, or wouldn't have had kids in the first place.

I wish this was true but when one parent co parents and the other parent counter and parallel parents sucks!! It makes the decent parent want to give up
