Laser Refraction

We begin with a clear water tank set against a dark background to enhance visibility. Watch as we shine a laser beam at different angles into the water, illustrating how light bends when it moves from one medium (air) to another (water).

The same effect applies to battle ship rounds hitting short. They usually divert and go under the target. Those come at a very shallow angle get spun so almost never explode though might make a hole below the armour belt.

So if i want to stab a fish with a spear, I should aim slightly under where I see it?

Acute angle better than using horizontal.

OMG —- that is NOT the correct orientation for the protractor !!

The ZERO line of the protractor must be perpendicular to the air -water interface !

In refraction & diffraction the angles are MEASURED FROM THE — NORMAL !
