Amber Alert Emergency Alert System alert airs on WBAP, KSCS and KTXD on 1/26/23.

On January 26, 2023, about a week after the previous Amber Alert in McKinney (yes, the children were found safe), once again The Emergency Alert System was activated for a Amber Alert, this time out of Kemp, Texas, which is in Kaufman County,The alert was issued shortly after 4:30 PM CST by the Kemp poice department issued the alert and it was relayed to News Talk 820 AM WBAP, New Country 96.3 KSCS and later relayed to KTXD TV 47 and NOAA Weather Radio. The alert was read by WBAP's Eric Bushman as they interupted a commercial break during the final hour of the Rick Roberts Show, and after it aired on WBAP, shortly after, WBAP's Cumulus sister station New Country 96.3 KSCS aired the alert which had a intro featuring that infamous Amber Alert sound with KSCS' Al Farb annoucing they were interupting programming on KSCS to air the alert, then after it was over, it was KTXD TV 47 (Stadium) that aired the alert and as always, it was cut off at the end when the ticker crawl on the screen went off. I was able to captured the alerts live on all 3 with me recording WBAP & KSCS relaying the alert on my computer using Audacity and then recording the alert on KTXD via recording it off my TV with my cell phone camera.

This was the first time in a long time i was able to record audio streams using a app (which Audacity does that) on my computer to record the live stream, and this was the second time i caught a Emergency Alert System alert on my new TCL Roku TV and this time, it was a daytime Amber Alert. Also i edited this with the new ChipChamp Video Editior app from Microsoft.

I was there when those girls in Mckinney were abducted. Me and my family just got back from Oklahoma after visiting relatives and its sadly very common here to get over like tons of amber alerts here in North Central Texas, woe to my childhood trauma of the child abduction alerts. I was actually born where Amber Hagerman lived in Arlington and I found it quite saddening what happened to her, but it was interesting knowing how this happened in my hometown. Usually nowadays, the children are abducted by their parents who lost the custody of their children or other crazy family members. Now they're planning on making the "Athena Alert" to the memory of Athena Strand, who was a 7 year old, I think and abducted by a delivery driver and killed. I don't really see the reason for Athena Alerts to exist because they are for children taken by strangers, which is exactly what happened to Amber, so it doesn't really make sense making a duplicate Amber Alert with a different name. However, I want to say I hope Amber's abductor and killer dies in a hole and rots in hell for eternity and same to Athena's abductor.
