64 been on SSDI for 8 years full retirement 66 yrs 10 months also DAV 70% and I use VA for all my medical needs or use outside DR at VA expense as needed. Since this is my situation I don't feel the need for Medicare. All my meds and medical bills are paid by the VA. I've been divorced from 1st hubby married 7 yrs ( can't get anything from him) married second time 40 years. When can I try to go back to work and work without fear of losing SSDI? I know is 9 months of work no problem...I just wanna know when is the soonest I can go back to work and not lose SSDi and it transfer to full retirement?

I retired at 62 last year, is the DIB required to have Doctor sign off or can you jut claim you are unable to work? I was injured on the job and the workman’s compensation was settled that I lost a percentage of use of my left arm. I was not aware of the DIB, Thank you- best regards

If I take my SS benefits while going through the SSDI process I know I can stop my SS benefits within that first year. How long does one have to pay back the original SS benefits. Is it immediately or can you do it incrementally. If it takes longer to receive SSDI than the year, what are my options.

I need to know how to stop my disability benefit and claim my survivors benefit, and can I do that when I am full retirement age? I want to take my survivor's benefits of 67 and 70 and let my own retirement benefits increase for those 3 years. I was told I can't do that and I spoke with you over the phone but you weren't sure at that time and I don't know whether you have found out anything since then. Otherwise if I want my maximized benefit at age 70 I have to go without anything between the age of 67 and 70 and I don't think I can do that!

Thank you Dr. Ed, you are a whole lot of help. If we can call you, from what time to what time we can call you?
