I have worked in the dealers for 18 years and would be careful. I would keep your I's dotted and T's crossed ! And don't expect any extra care when a little out of warranty issues arise but no service history and you have a problem. Most modern vehicles don't have a transmission dip stick and your transmission is having issues. When is the last time you checked the fluid? Most of the transmissions now days are sealed and can only be checked on the lift at the correct temp. Most people do not have that capability or expertise easy loop hole for the dealer to get out of repair if needed.
