Storm Chasing In A $750,000 Tornado-Proof Tank!

We headed to Tornado Alley to meet extreme meteorologist Reed Timmer and check out how he drives directly into the world's deadliest storms!

His SRV Dominator 3 is a $750,000 beast converted from a Ford F350, ready to tackle anything Mother Nature throws its way. We drove into the eye of the storm and got to experience chasing Twisters first hand!

Dominator 4, needs a inflatable ring around the bottom, so when the air suspension is at its lowest, the ring would inflate and create a total seal under the truck.

Think I drove through a tornado earlier this year by accident. Was doing a ubereats and I didn’t realize it went straight into the path of a tornado. It was at night so it was hard to see. Then the wind and rain got so violent I couldn’t see the road I ended up in a ditch. I think that’s what saved me. Then I drove out and got hit by golf ball sized hail, which did more damage than the tornado. Luckily it was an open field of grass because there wasn’t any debris.
