Because after independence, the founding fathers of Africa were ill equipped to function their governments like the colonialists did. So what did they do? The ran back to the colonialist for help and coined that help, a "trade-deal." In the mind of the founding fathers, they thought they were going to trade with their former colonizers. For the colonizer, it only cemented their stereotypes and beliefs about Africans... and so what were 'trade-deals' for the founding fathers were opportunities for exploitation for the colonizers. And that remains the current state of Africa to this day.

When we have government thinking of getting luxury cars and getting paid in millions while taxing even potato sellers is what's wrong with Africa. The lawlessness is very rife and we love it lets accept it.
