The huge irony of Anakin saving Palpatine from falling to his death is great. Neat rhyming foreshadowing. They should have kept this in to tie it nicely into how Palpatine meets his demise in Return of the Jedi.

I love how battle droids miss just as badly as Storm Troopers. Even with their precise calibrated lasers and advanced digital optics and targeting systems that someone forgot to program.

If palpatine fell and they didn’t catch him with the force than he surely would’ve used the force to bring himself to safety, showing his advanced abilities to obi wan and anakin, they would figure out that he’s the secret Sith Lord. And I don’t think that at that time anakin would’ve betrayed obi wan, so it would’ve made for a super fucking sick anakin and obi wan vs palpatine battle
