Drift off with the sounds of distant artillery against a black screen. High quality sound for a more realistic experience. Perfect solution for those who struggle with sleep disorders, tinnitus, anxiety, insomnia, or add. Also great for creating a calming ambience for studying, meditating, a baby's nap time, or a cozy night with a loved one.

Vet here. Thank you sm for this. It's one of the most strangely comforting things I've listened to, and got decent sleep for the first time in what feels like years. I generally can't do recorded noise like rainfall because my brain will find the loop point and hyper focus on it. I don't seem to have that issue here, and i appreciate the black screen as well.

I thought this video was a joke but i’m seeing a lot of veterans in the comments saying this actually helps them a lot and it just makes you realize people live very differently than you.
also thank you to all the vets here for there service

I served two combat tours in Iraq, this is soothing because it's always in the background...gives you a sense of close safety...just like a thunderstorm...just ride the ride and sleep easy.

Did two tours in afghanistan and this is bringing back memories. I was 19k heavy armor crewman. i was the gunner and i remember sitting with my hatch open and just hearing the firefights in the distance. That day opened my eyes as a 18 year old boy and made me realize how life truly is. I sat there and said to myself "shit im in a whole warzone and any moment i could be killed, gone, that easy" after that, my whole view of life changed and i changed my ways for the better. Never will i ever let life slip out of my hands. Stay safe yall! Thank you for the ambience.

Veteran here. I served in the military police for the Royal Air Force. I did two tours of Afghanistan, my main duties were guarding camp Bastion, and the protection of vip assests and detainee handling. It was also common to support troops on the frontline, especially as a dog handler. This audio brings me a profound sense of "being at home". I havent slept properly in over ten years, but this audio brings me strangest relaxtion and helps me drift off, almost as if my buddies are on watch whilst I get me head down for an hour.

Sleeping to the sound of gunshots in the training grounds is the sweetest thing ever. You know someone is having a very bad time and it is not you for the first time in days.

Respect to all these combat veterans here. And rest in peace to all those brave soldiers who couldn’t make it.

Normal people: "Let me put some rain sounds to sleep"

Infantry vet
The close gunfire sounds are muffled by what seems like being in a building, as in, hard cover. The far gunfire sounds outside. It makes it feel like youre hunkered down in a secure bunker with guards. Super dope.

Why is this so calming ... ?? I never served in war but I did serve in healthcare for 11 years

For some odd reason when you hear gunfire all day long constantly eventually it feels like crickets. That probably sounds weird to some people.

It just dawned on me why this wonderful video is so effective in helping me focus. ( At least for me that is) In sustained combat operations, you are FORCED to focus on your job. You don't have time to be worrying about things back home, what you'll do when you get out, what your girl is up to, etc. You have no choice but to focus on your job and not other distractions or other people will get hurt. This video reminds me of how easy it is to make all distractions invisible and almost nonexistent. After all, If you can do it once, then you can do it again. Thanks again for posting this. Semper Fi to all the real ones still out there.

Currently serving guardsman with a tour in Irag 09, this and aircraft on the tarmac are the most comforting sounds.

I’m resting until my battles need me at the front. I miss it oddly enough.

Cheers to my fellow Vets, regardless of MOS, you’re home and I’m glad you made it.

just causally enjoying the sounds while reading all the relatable comments. That soothing sound of artillery crashing is my favorite, 13F best job I ever had.

You have no idea how bad I've missed this. Something about being there with your buddies and everything is easy. Eat, sleep when you can, fight. Life was simple in the box. It's hard at home. I should've been born a Roman soldier. Then i could've done it for a lifetime. Eat, sleep when i can, fight.

I’m not a vet, but listening to this for some odd reason brings me comfort. I feel like thats a bad thing to say, but i just cant help but listen to this when i feel upset, or angry, or anything.
