Method:
**Factory Reset (Passcode Remembered)**
- Go to Settings - General - Reset.
- Choose "Erase All Content and Settings."
- Wait for iCloud backup or skip to proceed.
- Enter Apple ID password and tap "Erase iPad."
- Your iPad will reset to factory default.

**Find My App (Passcode Forgotten)**
- Use Find My app, tap "Erase iPad" from lock screen.
- Enter Apple ID password to confirm.

**Reset with ReiBoot (Computer Required)**
- Use ReiBoot on a computer, put iPad in recovery mode.

#5 worked for me. I have the original iPad mini and it's been sitting around for years and I really wanted to use it but have tried numerous times to reset it to no avail. My biggest tip is to use an authentic iPhone cord. I have the newer ones that won't work on my laptop so I grabbed a generic. Reset wouldn't work until I was super frustrated and dug around for an older but authentic apple cord. Worked immediately! THANK YOU!
