What people need to know is that there are different variations of adhd. I have adhd and I’m not hyper active. Yes a doctor diagnosed me. Instead i sometimes have trouble controlling my anger. I don’t have a hard time focusing.

I have ADHD and yes a doctor approved this. I can tell you that a lot of the stereotypes are false but some are still true. I may get distracted during class and then totally forget what I was writing. Some times I can even feel myself getting distracted and it really stresses me out. I read and reread articles (that I find boring) because my brain wasn’t paying attention. But if I like a book I get really obsessive and won’t stop thinking about it till the point where I can’t focus in class because of said book. I crack my back, fingers, and neck often and repeat words or sayings with out realizing it. And I ramble on a lot as you can clearly see here. Thanks for reading the whole thing, I really appreciate it. 😃

I might have ADHD, I find it really hard to focus to what my teacher says as I zone out, I always shake my legs whilst sitting and when I’m standing i walk around in circles mindlessly, after a minute or two I realise what I’m doing . If I’m in a process of doing something I usually completely forget what I have to do after I was told to do something a second ago because I zone out again and start thinking about other things that interest me more

ADHD can either be really helpful or really annoying depending on what you're doing or what mood your in.

Because I was invested in my Art work, I managed to get over a month's worth of a project done in roughly 3 days. However I can also spend 3 hours doing one maths question because I keep constantly getting distracted and frustrated. :/

I actually had the chance to meet a boy with a ADHD disorder in middle school and it shocked me to see how heartless the classmates were toward him because of his ADHD. The kids would be constantly teasing him and even violent towards him for his abnormal behavior but ironically the kid "liked" it because he thought with his premature mind that it was typical behavior between friends. Probably because after he was punched and cursed at the kids would say "its okay... we're friends right?" And that vicious cycle would repeat over and over again. The most angering part is that those same people will gladly help a person with a physical disorder like opening a door for someone in a wheelchair. Those same smiles toward the physically disabled will turn into sadistic ones in front of that one ADHD child.

I have ADHD, anxiety and OCD and I’m telling you it’s very hard having all of them and it’s really triggering when people are like “Omg I’m so ocd” or like “I literally have adhd because I can never pay attention”. I take lots of medicine to attempt to maintain my adhd. Sometimes it gets very hard, you may all the sudden have your adhd, anxiety or ocd get much worse and have to change your medication around and it gets hard. I remember in school when I would learn a bit different from the others and my true friends would understand and others would make fun of me or honestly be jealous because I learnt a different way, a way that was better for me. It’s a bit of a struggle having all that, but it’s just what my life has become and who I am. (I have been diagnosed by a doctor for all three)

I do have ADHD, Anxiety and ASD. My doctor says so and I take D-Amphetamine every morning on the school days. I know I do have ADHD. Litterally, My meds usually ware off at the latest 5th hour. Everyday I have to ask my friend what my teacher just said because I couldn’t focus no matter how hard i tried. Whenever I forget to take my medicine, I usually just play games the whole day (even on my medicine i still play games). And whenever I do take it, I’m usually not hungry and my friends have to force me to eat. If you do have ADHD, whether it’s mild or severe, you totally get how I feel. Thank you very much for reading this.

I have ADHD and it's been pretty hard. I take pills to help me but...I get a feeling in me I don't know it's like the life in me is gone the BOOM I'm back. I don't know if this is bad or it's just how it goes. Leave a like if you have ADHD

Thanks for all the advice guys!

I have ADHD ( as well as Autism and SC which for example i wanted to say " The Dog Jumped Over The Rock" I would say it faster then how i was thinking it ) i would like to say that im proud that i have ADHD and i support people who have it and don't enjoy it in how it affects them. I would like to say that as much as "special" having ADHD ( and the other mental conditions I have ) I don't like how due to how ADHD changes my personality it has given a BIG opportunity for bullies to repeatably bully me mainly by annoyance and if your wandering if i have told the teachers and adults ( etc ) i HAVE but i have still been bullied for 4 years ( 'sadly' more then that ) and my parents have been helpful but never told the principal of the school besides the teachers and have only gotten therapists appointments which aren't bad but just don't change my angry reactions to bulling . Thank You for reading this if you are and remember "Stay Filled With Creativeation!" (Its A Quote Of Mine :P )

I have ADHD, and when I can’t take my medication (like when my prescription need to be refilled or I forget to take it) I act and behave completely different.
I laugh for no apparent reason, my responses may be delayed, I overeat (one of the side effects of my particular medication is decreased appetite), I feel exhausted and sometimes fall asleep in class.
I got diagnosed with ADHD when I was around 8 or 9, and have been on various different medications and ever since. And with the combination of autism, anxiety, depression, and a non-verbal learning disorder, it can get complicated.
My autism and ADHD feed into my anxiety, which feeds into my depression, and creates a messy cycle.

I'm just wondering if anyone else with ADHD finds its hard to deal with things being immensely overwhelming?

I feel theres a huge stigma against medicating for adhd. As a rising hs senior who has had it diagnosed since the 3rd grade I can say comfortably that it has been a challenge to my education for my entire life. That being said, with medication (mainly Ritalin) i have been able to achieve and reach goals otherwise impossible. Im lucky enough to come from a family with background in mental disabilities, as well as one that is well of enough financially to pay not only for the medication, but the cost of testing, phycologists, touters, and more. I got incredibly lucky in the situation I was born into, because without those resources, I could never do what I’m doing today. We need to have open conversation about leaning disability and the best solution for these problems and I’m glad to see this channel opening that dialogue

I have untreated ADHD and its been untreated for the past 3 years. I can never focus properly and always get in trouble when I'm too hyper. Just remember, ADHD is serious and shouldn't be taken as a joke... People suffer and it gets worse when its untreated.. Just for people that have ADHD or even untreated ADHD, you aren't alone... I am here for you and I know there are others. We will get through this together, even if its hard. I love you all ❤
