Anyone else watched this because someone important or yourself is going to board a plane?

This helped me not be scared of planes. But it just made my fear of driving worse.

I've never quite understood how people don't realize how dangerous cars are. They're giant metal boxes flying down the road at often more than 3 times the fastest a human has ever ran. Not only that but they're freaking everywhere, and the fact of the matter is that if some psycopath decided they wanted to start a car accident, all it would take is a quick turn of the wheel.

Am I the only who's scared of the feeling when taking off? That weird feeling like ur getting pushed back. I hate that.

There is more chance of Drowning in a Tea spoonful of water than dying in a plane! FACT! Do not be put off, also, Recently i had a few drinks on a flight to JFK and the Air hostess told me that 1 Drink in the Sky was equivalent to 3 on the ground, LOL..Interesting fact!, But yeah, We should not let terrorists or whatever put us off, It is still very safe :)

Yea it's safer than driving for sure. But people are scared because they think it is a worse way to die....and it's not something most people HAVE to do so we do it less than going in cars and it makes it less familiar. People just accept that to live in the modern world there is no way of getting around being in cars.  I hate flying because I always have to change planes to get anywhere and it's annoying and stressful and once I even got stuck overnight and had to pay 464 bucks for a hotel room. :/

Just stay in your house for the rest of your life and don't anything, don't go anywhere and don't talk to anybody.

This was a little too light-hearted for having almost 400 of those people you're talking about die only a week ago..

I'm scared when I'm on a plane because I can't escape when it starts flying...
So my life is in the pilots hands which isn't comforting at all...

The scariest part is that you don't have control over the situation if something bad happen. Unlikely other more deadly occasions when you can effect the situation and try to prevent it. Imagine the horrifying experience of these recent plane crashes? Counting the lasts seconds in your life, having nothing you can do, no hope... What about if you're dying with your family? Realizing your kids, wife, grandmother will die with you, and your legacy is over? THIS IS SCARY! In a car, you can always get a big safe car, and drive safe, in a plane nothing matters from you. Statistics makes me feel no good

I've been on over 40 flights, and I'm not even in the sixth grade yet. Nothing has ever gone wrong, even the tiniest mechanical problem. So, yeah, there's nothing to worry about.

I find it relaxing when I'm on an airplane. It's an intresting experience everytime and the crew take care of you.

The fact that most well publicised plane crashes involve huge fatalities might also have something to do with the irrational fear.

Slowly going off DNews video's... the presenters are too smug for the seriousness of some of the issues. I bet this one wouldn't be so smug if she had been or had relatives on one of these planes. Dnews seem only to try and make a quick buck off other peoples misery. - Just saying.

Laci is cheerful about talking about death :/

The difference between a car and a plane is in a car you do have control over most things, most crashes involve bad drivers while good drivers remain safe, in a plane you have zero control, and I think the anxiety that this brings on is where a lot of it comes from. I know the stats, and I've flown many times, but it doesn't stop me getting anxious about it.

Maybe its just me, but its very insensitive of Dnews to post this at a time when people are mourning 4 air disasters in one year.
