So could you say as a rule, when there are two functions, you just set them equal to each other? I'm referring to the height 2 - sqrt(y)

I don't understand why did you subtract the sqrt(y) from 2? Wouldn't that mean that you're subtracting the area under the curve, leaving only the white space?

why is the interval from 0 to 4 instead of 0 to 2. because from 0 to 2 is where it is closed by the shaded region? and the shells pile up horizontally?
