Diploma in building technology vs Diploma in civil engineering. This video takes you through two of the most popular courses in the building sector and civil engineering as offered in various institutions of higher learning in Kenya i.e TVET institutions by comparing the diploma in building technology and the diploma in civil engineering. From my experience interacting with past students, and employers during student attachment assessments and analysing the various syllabus, I have realised many people enrol to pursue courses with very little information. They just enrol in a course because someone mentioned it's marketable without any further research and as a result, they join courses that don't march their interests and talents. The result is that they end up taking more time, and resources when pursuing these courses. Here are the two most popular courses in civil engineering and building that you can pursue after your 2021 KCSE results but remember success in any course depends on how you are prepared for the journey, how enthusiastic you are about the course, how much knowledge, skills and attitude you endeavour to gain and how much you are determined to succeed. Remember there is no point in looking for a marketable course if you don't endeavour to make yourself marketable.
