I have had my dishwasher 5 months and haven't been able to use it. No matter what I did, it would not work. I purchased it at Lowe's and found that their customer service stinks! But LG's customer service is non-existent! So happy that you have shown me that least the basics!!! Thank you.

I just bought my first LG dishwasher. I couldn't get it to start. I called LG customer support and the customer support agent was able to tell me that CL meant child lock but she didn't tell me how to unlock it so I was left thinking there was something wrong with the dishwasher. I was on with customer support for over an hour and was ready to return the dishwasher. Thank you for this video! You were able to resolve my issue in four minutes when LG customer support could not (even though I was on with them for over an hour)!

New house + new dishwasher = No clue. Turns out it was locked. Thank you for this video! And I guess now they have the controls on the inside? I know why! Mine has them in the front, and every time I lean on the counter, I turn the dishwasher on! 🤨

Thank you. I’m housesitting and literally could not figure out how to start this thing. It says, “hold 3 seconds, ” so I held Start for 3 seconds. It never washed.

Hi. I have a new LG dishwasher…model #LDTH797**LDPH797, and I can’t tell when the cycle is finished, except from the little jingle at the end. My question is, how do I know it’s finished if I don’t hear the jingle? There are three lights on the front…..do they indicate/go out when it’s done? Thanks.

I have to agree with a lot of you. I've had my LG dishwasher about three years now. I never use it because every time I try to use it it will not respond. I press every combination of buttons and all I get it a blinking middle light for a few seconds, then it cuts itself off. It's extremely frustrating because we only use it to store the dishes we've already washed by hand. I've had repair men cone in twice, they get it to work and then when I go to use it it won't respond. Also, I never got a manual for the dishwasher. I think if I had a manual I could at least get an idea of what I'm doing wrong.
