Pls. Note that some of the links are just similar items due to availability (many of my clothes are older), and that some of them are adlinks which means I might be working on an affiliate-based term with the brand/website. Therefore I may receive a small percentage in commission if a purchase is being made. If you choose to use these links, thank you for your support! :-)

Also note that I go out of my way to find eco-friendly alternatives - either straight from an eco-brand or from a brand that is improving qualities (organic cotton, recycled polyester etc.).

I lost a lot of weight a year ago and went down 4 or 5 clothing sizes. I altered things once or twice, bought new or second hand and altered them too. A few things have managed to stay with me (elastic waist skirts mostly). The sewing skills I learned at school decades ago have come in very handy.

As a super experienced sewest, my favorite pants and skirt are drafted from my existing wardrobe. Most of my wardrobe is handmade. You will love this super power. People don’t even know I make my own yoga pants.

I used to buy second hand clothes on flea markets, all of them made of linen and cotton but there are some pastel colors i don't like so i never wear them. Im planning to dye all those pieces with more neutral colors like brown, black, gary and beiges. I think that is also a good idea to renew our wardrobe and make it more functional

Having basic sewing skills is sooo important in my opinion! I sew as a hobby (costumes as well as day to day garments) and usually do fixes and alterations for my parents and boyfriend as they are clueless about how to do those things. I also use a mechanic paddle sewing machine from 1917, so anything is possible - even without a fancy machine ;)

Love this video. I’m planning to revive my sewing skills this year and go back to being my own tailor, bespoke home decor creator, etc as part of my 2021 depth year. Sewing is such a valuable skill and it’s time to knock the dust off!

I love the new hair 🙌 And this video has inspired me to pull my sewing machine out again. It’ll come in handy in my low buy year, as I have a big pile of fabric if I need any new pieces 🤪 xx

Happy New Year, dear Signe! I love your videos. I always wanted to learn how to sew, not only altering my clothes, but also making new clothes with natural fabrics.

You really inspired me to make the most out of my wardrobe! My mom and I bought a (second-hand) sewing machine in March 2020 and since then we have been altering and fixing up a lot of clothes! For example, I found an old t-shirt with holes in it and made re-usable cotton rounds out of it. Love from the Netherlands ❤️

Yes, thank you, this was very inspiring. I just pulled put the old sewing machine that my mom gave me when she got a new one. And I am thinking about some simple sewing projects to tackle this winter. I hope you do more videos about sewing!
