Skillet Glazed Carrots with Herbs
Easy and classic glazed carrots right on your stovetop? This traditional affordable simple skillet glazed carrots will free up oven space. These carrots are buttery, sweet, and savory. The best part about it, you can control the texture of your carrots. No overcooked carrots here, unless you like it that way. Try this easy four ingredients side recipe when planning your next dinner party, event, holiday, or just the everyday.
Ingredients
1 lb Carrots Peeled and Sliced
2 tbsp Butter
2 tsp Dark Brown Sugar
1 tsp Fresh Herbs Parsley, Thyme, Oregano etc
2-3 tbsp Water
Instructions
Skillet on low heat add water and carrots. Cook covered 5-8 minutes until 3/4 way of your desired texture.
Remove lid and raise heat to medium. Add butter and sugar, saute for a couple minutes. Until melted and nicely glazed, toss in herbs.
Remove carrots from skillet to serving dish. Enjoy.
Notes
Tip #1 - Cut your carrots any way you prefer, matches, round sliced, or side sliced etc.
Tip #2 - Use your favorite herbs parsley, thyme, rosemary, oregano, herb de provenance etc.
Tip #3- Use your favorite sweetener honey, maple syrup, light brown sugar etc.
