Lovely helpful video. Im 45 this year and just started to run for the past 1 year only. From 5km and now in my 10 km into 2 months already. My timing is now about 1 hour 5 mins. I wish to go below 1 hour mark hopefully soon.

Sports day is starting next Tuesday, parent's won't be there and due to covid it's just gonna be my class watching. Unfortunately I have to do the long distance run, I really didn't want to but I don't want to let down my team and I don't want to be selfish and try to stay off and let them do an extra run when it's meant to be mine. So I'm trying to improve my running, I really want to make them proud.

although it may not work for everyone, i recommend running at the middle of your toes and middle of your feet, “you know that bump on your foot?” i recommend running on that, because not only its good for your grip, its really good for your knees because if you ran on your heels, the energy that when you hit the ground is greater and hits the knees.
if you are gonna try this technique, i recommend you to train your calves, by standing on your toes for 10 minutes, do this 5 times a day, take 10 minute breaks too.
if you do kendo, its not required because most of the time you are on your toes when you are in kendo, or such sport that needs you on your toes like being a ballerina.
