But before we cover the ins and outs of plasma donation, let's make sure we're all on the same page. Plasma is the liquid component of your blood that comprises about 55% of its volume. It's made up of proteins. And these proteins are crucial for your body to be able to fend off infection. Plasma also is unique in the way that it regenerates pretty quickly. Because of this, people can donate it on a regular basis.

Donated plasma is used to provide therapies and treatment for people who have a number of serious diseases and disorders – one of the most noteworthy of these being hemophilia. It's also used to treat shock, burns, and other types of physical trauma. Currently, plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients is also being used to treat other people who come down with severe cases of the disease.

It’s definitely important to be hearty when you’re donating blood/plasma. One time I donated blood in the early afternoon/late morning without eating breakfast and while I didn’t pass out or anything, I did feel weak and drawn. It’s not just something that’s an issue for the health compromised

I donate 2 times a week. Making almost 500 a month. You will only make 1000 for the first month or so.

Unfortunately, as of August 2023 because so many are doing it at least in Salt Lake Utah the pay has really dropped post covid ! I got 75 but that’s as new after 9 month return donor ! It’s probably 50 bucks for me after this month which isn’t worth it

The Grifols where I live cut back to $40 for the first donation of the week and $85 for the second donation in the same week. If you donate one per week, you’re looking at $40 per donation.

I always go to bed at 10 before donating, eat big breakfast and 2 bottles of water or Gatorade and i feel fine after. The one in Lima Ohio gives out $850 for 8 donations

FDA allow for 2 donations in a 7 day period with a day in between donations minimum. Return donors do not get rewarded compared to new donor promotions. Second donation within 7 days is often much more than the first donation

Really good video, any tips on what to look for when scoping out a plasma center that is "reputable?"

what nobody tells you is that you don't get the full amount on your first donation. Today I donated for the first time and got $70. And I have to keep going to receive the full amount.

You only get 50 dollars and 65 dollars once each week meaning the max you can earn for a returning donor is 115x4

430 a month

The CSL website said the payout is i got there...they informed me that for each of the first two visits i gets $100 then for each of the next three visits..i'll get $75 (for a total of $425) and then my payment for all other visits would be just only $35....
That PATTERN is _very_ suspect to me!

I want to buy my own machine and get FDA approved then do twice a week and make $52, 000 cut out the middle man they pay $60 per donation and sell for $500 a bottle, a machine cost quite a bit, but I think it would be a good investment

If you go once ever 2 weeks.. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONTHLY BONUS...

GOING 2 TIMES A WEEK IS FINE IF YOU ARE A HEALTHY HUMAN... I WORK OUT EVERYDAY..

SO DONT TAKE HIS WORD

I have not donated yet, but to what I heard, as extra, SUPPLIMENTAL spending money, its an appropriate way to make a quick buck. I'd say limit donating to biweekly if you do it consistently so that you dont end up with ANY complications, monthly for zero complications assuming its in a sterile environment.

Using a lightweight vr headset and one controller, you might be able to watch some nice movies while in on it. Might even be able to take a nap.

you can pay your rent for months by going to different plasma places once you finish your new donor fees, and stack your job's income
