I pray the TFL family is being safe out there with the wild fires 🔥 going on in Colorado. I pray you guys are not affected.

Some TFL viewers may be too young to remember that mainstream cars were once as configurable as pickups are today. Sedan, hardtop, coupe, convertible and wagon with 4-8 engine options and multiple transmission choices were the rule not the exception.

Toyota did a good job catching up to the competition. I'd wait a year let them sort it out though, let the market adjust.
I'll be keeping my 2008 though.

The more I look at the 2022 tundras the more I think, eat the miles per gallon differences it not much and you would wear a truck out before it would make difference money-wise and buy a 2015 to 2020 Tundra with reasonable miles with good maintenance records that lives in a state were salt and rust is not a big issue, you know AZ and keep the 35 to 40 k difference for well the usual things you have to fix from time to time.

Great effort but two things for starters you’ll need a lot patience if you want the truck you designed with Toys website, WHY because the dealer I spoke (12/27/21) with told me production will slow in late January. Second, the head sales person I spoke with was clear that not even he knew much about packages, the sales person are simply most interested in quickly selling whatever they’re allotted. DO NOT waste your time trying to configure one now, wait until 2023 your patience will go much further.

Sadly us Canadian's don't get the same package choices with the SR5. The Canadian configurator tool only has the TRD Off-Road package and the SR5 in Canada costs the same as the Limited in the USA.

correction: The TRD Pro isn't going to be low 60s. Expect 70s bc it is only offered in hybrid power train

TFL. You have the platform to help us voice our opinions and concerns. As for Toyota turning remote start into a subscription, please make lots of noise. We do not need ti go backwards. Its time that all vehicles should have remote start. What's next? remote locks on subscription only?

I just got a job at Toyota. Thank you guys for making this video. It's a great teaching aid for those of us who are new to the field.

All the manufacturers are coming out with great vehicles today, even the base packages that are offered have so many standard options now. What worries me the most is that you will go broke now a days just buy a truck. And repair costs if you try to keep it for 8 to 10 years. Between all the tech features, 10 speed transmissions, turbos. To get a traditional type truck you will have to buy a 3/4 ton or higher if you want to feel what a truck is like. The old tundra you could put a plow on it, now no more. Wish they would come out with a heavy duty version.

Funny how I'm able to stay in my lane, get to my destination, stop my truck in time, open my tailgate all without all of this expensive "assist" on my '02 Tundra 4x4. Simplicity is bliss and cost effective.

Looking at everything, I would want a 1794 Interior, a platinum exterior with the body color grill trim, and TRD pro suspension paired with the hybrid. Seems like the best combo of all available features.

Still waiting on that MPG loop. Love to see the F-150 Ecoboost do it the same time.

Everything I'm seeing here is going to be interesting in how it will translate to the new versions of 4Runner and Sequoia in the next couple years. One thing seems to be certain. They will be far more expensive than I could have imagined just a couple years ago. Thanks for the in depth breakdown guys.
