Ukraine doesn’t need the F-22 and F-35 to take on Russia; give them the new A-10 Warthog and the question changes from “can Ukraine repel Russia’s invasion?” to “could Ukraine defeat Russia and actually win this war?” The A-10 is the US military's go-to tank buster aircraft and with so many Russian tanks in Ukraine, could the US be sending the A-10s to Ukraine sometime soon despite NATO having already made it clear that they won’t be sending attack aircraft to Ukraine? So why did the A-10 question rise at all?

I was a Production Officer on the A10 System Program Office in 1973-1975. We were very proud of the A -10, I am very happy that this Aircraft has achieved what we had hoped.

Great idea. The historic A-10 is the best anti-tank, anti-soldier aircraft used in the US. Soldiers love this airplanes.

I had an A10 save me from a bear while out hiking in WA state. Was going up the railroad grade at Wallace falls when this big bear walks out and starts acting territorial standing up, when suddenly two A10's come buzzing over the mountaintop and down the valley scaring the piss out of the bear. I love the Warthog. It’s literally a flying tank designed to kill tanks. It’s air-to-air capabilities are quite good as well. Set it up to carry the AIM-260 Long-Range missile. Out of sight engagement of enemy aircraft would literally make it the perfect plane for the Ukrainian military to repel Russia.
