Don't get a EV unless you you can plug in at home overnight charging...

I bought one and I love mine. Paid 14k for a premier 2023 Chevy bolt EUV. I pay 3 dollars to charge it at home at 11 to charge at public chargers. Gas cars are so antiquated.

Every 2 vehicle households should seriously consider an ev for one of the vehicles as long as you can charge at your house

BYD Seagull is coming. Tariffs will slow it down, but won't stop it.

The average price of anything is very deceiving, it's the median price that needs to be discussed

Everyone who doesn’t commute 700 miles each way every day should have an EV.

Oh wait… that’s everyone who doesn’t drive a semi truck. Right.

I think that if the problem with pollution, is the ICE then why not charge the taxes to the ICE car as a function of the CO2 emmission.

This is deceptive. Prices remain high, maintenance is challenging and people are still wary of the technology.

Uh the reason that taking away the rebate helps Tesla is that the rebate is the only thing allowing the OEMs like GM and Ford to be able to even offer their EVs anywhere close to the price of a Tesla.... although the OEM is still losing lots of money on the ones they do sell (just look at Ford's losses).
Tesla, on the other hand, has enough of a profit margin that they can lower the price of their cars even more to make up some of that rebate and still make money. Also Tesla is continually finding cost savings in their supply lines, making their own batteries, as well as their own Lithium refining.

Average prices are not a good metric, and shouldn't be put on the screen in huge font. The EV market is skewed toward exorbitantly priced models, such as the Polestar and Cyber Truck. Buy a used Nissan or Chevy for $20K.

People who can afford an ev don't need the tax credit.

When it makes sense for you. The tech will improves/get cheaper with time.

Regardless of the EV tax credit, you should only purchase an EV if you can charge at home or at work. If neither one is an option, then it's not a good idea.

These "tariffs" already exist on select products, especially from China. Look up antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD), section 401 tariffs, ... So it's not some radical new policy. There are lots of things people just don't know and scream about

She is wrong. Pulling back the tax credit would force car makers to take cheaper cars.

Why will it make Tesla cheaper? Because it can bring in cheap Chinese batteries, and they will also start producing their own batteries. Ford is in trouble. GM will be fine

Is interesting to see an american company like Chevrolet lead in affordable EV (if we exclude china). Is important for EV to put the focus on what the customer are looking for, like building reliable, good looking, affordable, fast to charge charge, safe cars. Instead of focus on things that drive the prices up like self driving.

Its not even that . Way too expensive and electricity will double in kilowatts. Basically same price of gas and in some cases more thsn gas

Maybe if the manufacturers would have stopped using the tax incentive as a crutch and instead used it as a way to become profitable by making affordable ev's instead of the Ford lightning maybe they would have achieved profability by now
