It Happened! FAA Approved Bigger SpaceX Starship V2 Launch! Flight 7 This Month...
Big news, everyone!
The FAA has officially announced the license for Flight 7. Everything is coming together, and the stage is set for a groundbreaking event that could shake the world in the near future.
Nearby, work on the water-cooled deck continues, progressing toward the completion of the system for OLM Pad B.
Meanwhile, SpaceX has turned up the heat with two Falcon 9 missions launched within just nine hours—a testament to their relentless drive for innovation and progress.
Exciting changes are on the horizon, so let’s dive into all the details in today’s episode of Great SpaceX!

In early December, SpaceX ramped up preparations for Flight 7 with static fire tests of Booster 14 (B14) and Ship 33 (S33). Now, following the move of S33, both the booster and ship are at the Production Site for final checks and installations. Once these steps are complete, they will move to the Launch Site for Wet Dress Rehearsal (WDR) testing, marking a significant milestone in readiness for the flight.

Adding to this momentum, the FAA has cleared a major hurdle for Flight 7. On December 17, the FAA officially issued a license modification, publicly announced on X. The agency stated, “Today, the FAA issued a license modification authorizing SpaceX to launch multiple missions of the Starship/Super Heavy vehicle on the Flight 7 mission profile and vehicle configuration. The FAA determined SpaceX met all safety, environmental, and other licensing requirements for the suborbital test flight.” This signifies that all critical factors, including public safety and environmental compliance, have been satisfied—areas that previously posed delays for SpaceX. Notably, the recent flights have avoided intervention from environmental agencies, signaling substantial progress in addressing these concerns.

To be resolved, thank you.

FAA is ready before SpaceX! Amazing progress!

I wish someone would get this right. Reports change daily. A week ago I saw a notice that said SX was given approval for a launch as early as December 13. Yesterday a report said SX could launch no earlier than January 11. If it was me and I still had one launch left this year, I would make that launch a go. It looks to me like SX is about ready to go and today is December 18. The tower could be the issue and not the rocket.

The FAA 'read the room' and decided their jobs were worth more than frustrating progress.

Hey mate, just want to share a big thank you for all of the videos this year. Its really impressive how many videos you're able to produce whilst also maintaining enough engaging content. None of your videos are clickbait and very well spoken.

Love your work mate! Keep it up.

This month. The flight Data is needed, for Space X to stay on the moon landing time line.

So basically from what I understand with the FAA saying "multiple missions" of the same flight profile as flight 7, then that means flight 8 9 10 etc all have the go ahead so long as nothing changes like a catch attempt with the upper stage! I thought this would happen so they can cover multiple launches to verify results or fix problems!! Yey

Hmmm FAA so accommodating now ... guess some folks at the FAA want to keep their jobs in the Trump/Musk era.

Just a thought.
Starship could carry materials, parts and tools into orbit for space station construction. Perhaps incorporating a grappling mechanical arm for holding and maneuvering things.

I do think flight 7 will be tight on landing it's upper stage due to new aerodynamics, think the SN suborbital tests
