I suspect that Hermeus is primarily a semi-black project of the United States military.
I also suspect that the fast development of Hermeus is the primary reason the NGAD has been paused.
An available working reliable Hermeus engine would make the NGAD obsolete right now.

Beautiful stuff but how can it reaches over mack 5 without any problem, I thought after mack 3 it will be blocked by the sonic boom, I can't clarify more than that.
