Hi, I'm a friend of Poo (our family are going to work with the Thai Foundation she is linked to). Her nickname is Chompoo which translates 'rose apple' (a Thai fruit). This is shortened to 'Poo' in the slum community and, while this has no connotations in Thai, it has been a brilliant way to catch International attention! She is an inspiring, innovative and humble woman and I wish her every success.

As a Thai person, I really cherish her works. The way she cooks side by side with the Famous Jamie Oliver, inspires so many Thai people to get into the kitchen again, very proud of her.

Seriously, I can't understand why some of the people below are so rude to Poo. She's amazing and talented. It doesn't matter what her name is. It's what she does for the slum community and Thai cuisine. She deserves some respects. Her Massaman curry has complexity and layers of flavours that I bet some of you can't even comprehend so you turn away from the food but to the person's name. What are you ?
