I am a member of higher IQ society - I was made fun of my whole life, despite being conventionally attractive - because the topics I wish to discuss, and my analysis of those topics, is boring, offensive, or too difficult for most people to digest. The only benefit, in my experience, of being "smart" has been: it allows me to sincerely enjoy being alone. I honestly do not need to socialize. I can entertain myself for months at a time, with no need to ever engage with anyone, sustaining joyfully on merely exploring - reading books, artistic endeavors, etc. I am void of the common need most people have to interact, engaging my own inner dialogue is enough to keep me occupied.
