Hi There, I'm a little confused by the window to change to an equal Supplement plan. I read this on the California Department of Insurance:

"Q: What is the "Birthday Rule" and how does it apply to the new Medigap Plans?
A: If you already have Medigap insurance, you have 60 days of "open enrollment" following your birthday each year when you can buy a new Medigap policy without a medical screening or a new waiting period. The new policy must have the same or lesser benefits as your old policy. To avoid confusion, the new law specifies which of the new Plans are equal to the old Plans.

So I'm Is it 30 days before and 30 days after? Or is the 60 days after my birthday?

Should be outlawed. For seniors should be real low

What is the process if you move to a different state and you have a medigap plan? Do you just file a change of address and the premium automatically adjusts or is there more to it?
