Understanding the California Birthday Rule
This short video explains the California Birthday Rule, which is a CA law that helps people save money on their Medicare Supplement (aka Medigap) insurance every year around their birthday. This video will be helpful for people turning 65, who are new to Medicare, and who aren't very familiar with how this law works.

Medigap rates are based on various factors including your age, zip code, marital status, and whether you use tobacco products. Rates also vary significantly from one insurance carrier to the next for the same identical plan and coverage! And some insurance carriers will guarantee and lock your rates for the first 12 months and others won’t. You have to be very careful when choosing an insurance carrier because some are better than others.
