Cody Ko is back… and it’s kind of a mess. After months of silence following his controversy, he's back like nothing ever happened.

The purpose of this video is to humor and acknowledge that the lack of an apology in Cody Ko's comeback is loud. I really enjoy(ed) Cody's content and it's pretty clear that his videos were a huge inspiration on my own style. I hope that he's able to do some needed reflecting, make amends, and come back to content creation without the scandal looming over him. But until then, it's unfair to the other parties involved to let this whole thing simply blow over.

long time cody ko viewer, currently stoned; i absolutely do not forgive him for what he did in his past, i have compassion for his family moving forward in his life so that he can actually learn and grow from this experience. i hate that he just disappeared from the internet for half a year, i hate that he never said he was sorry for what he did to tana, but i really hope he’s doing the proper work in his real life outside out youtube to take care of himself and his family :(

Dude actually hasnt lost a beat. i was worried he might have lost his edge from not being on camera in so long but it was like he never left.

Reading these comments suck because apparently a 25/26 year old sleeping with a 17 year old at the time is considered a “mistake” and not a fully conscious choice that us adults in their mid 20’s should know better not to make. I am 24 years old, and I wouldn’t dare entertain a 17 year old.

Like many ppl calling Cody out for it have said– the only reason why ppl are so willingly to forgive and forget is because the victim in question is Tana Mongeau. If he had done to this to someone who was well liked, a slap on the wrist response wouldn’t be acceptable.

Guys it wasn't a mistake. He was TOLD she was 17. If he wasn't, then I'd be a bit more okay with forgiving him, but this is different lol.

be up set if you can explain how it’s morally bad if he had wait 130 days when she turned 18 and there is no legality to it. If you’re trying to convince me he’s a predator it’s not going to work because in no way do I believe he is preying on young girls, and lastly the most damning point that really makes me not care is if he had talked to her in a different state where the law is one year different there would be no legal “death” to any of this.

This is arbitrary BS trying to paint. Him out to be a predator of kids when that is far from the truth.

yall in the comments are so scary, i’m 25 and refuse to date anyone under 22. if you don’t see a problem with cody, you seriously need some sort of psychiatric help omg

I feel like everyone who is just forgetting what he did or are just ignoring it are the same people who would date a minor.
He did it multiple times. And said nothing about it.

Wtf why are so many comments supporting cody he did a genuenly disgusting thing i dont care if she is a shitty person she was still just a kid and cody slept with her, and the fact that so many people support this shows that as long as the situation doesnt concern them personally they dont care which is kinda sad

Literally just looked him up the other day and all his comments were like “I’m so glad you’re back omg” I was like “well the allegation must’ve been cleared or sum” nooope 😭 like wth is up with people, I get he used to be funny and I loved him back then, but after you mess with a MINOR, and were told she was a minor and then STILL hit…you don’t deserve a platform. So weird these people constantly give peds one

Real question not taking sides …. But has anyone proven what she said was even true …. cuz I haven’t seen any real truth or evidence to the accusations ???many ppl just believe one and already say the other is guilty .. when there no proof .. ppl lie so much for view and money etc you’ll never know … also that old video they showed of him .. all the dud was show a clip and then saiddd he said sum backstage and he was told sum back stage … like all of that was said by ppl that she knows on her panel .. we don’t know what true what’s not especially since this false accusation things happens way too much …..so I’m jus curious was any real evidence or investigation or anything done Mmmm idk

I'm a little baffled that people aren't scared away from an internet personality when it's revealed a prominent feature of his personality is seeking unequal power dynamics despite making a career that in no small part consists of ridiculing others for similar predatory behavior

People fuck up, but naw that cant change, thats ridiculous. Let him do his time, if he gets a sentence, but move on Jesus christ.

Yeah what he did was wrong, there’s no doubt. But if I could explain to someone why I still like Cody without getting cut off and shamed because it’s not “correct” of me to do, I’d say that I think Cody has demonstrated to be a pretty decent to good intentioned guy in every other facet of his career. No I don’t know the guy in real life but I think it’s fair for me to judge the guy’s character more than most as a fan of Cody’s for about 8 or so years. Again, what he did was wrong but there should be more of a conversation about whether it makes sense to just cancel or identify a person by their biggest mistake for the rest of time and blatantly ignore every other part of their character because there’s nothing they can do to redeem themselves. At the end of the day, people can think what they want I suppose. I know there’s a lot of people who still enjoy Cody. He’s brought me tons of genuinely great times and entertainment.

i’m all for giving cody another chance, but not the way he responded, i dont care, he was one of my idols for the prior 5 years… since i was like 13, it was crushing to find out he let alone made that mistake, but then specifically the way he reacted…, rather not reacted, made me rly fucking sad…

oh get over it, it sucked, it was def not cool but he got cancelled for half a year and theres a lot worse. I dont think what he did warrents being cancelled forever. Hes a talented youtuber/ entertainer, i think its time we build a bridge.

Don’t know why there isn’t more people covering this, his comment sections are quite sad. Full of people stating they don’t care about what he did and is glad he’s back.

Honestly im glad hes back, what he did was fucked up but i also think people can move forward in their life and understand they did something bad. He is married and has a kid now, im pretty sure he isnt going around doing what he did back then. This is in no way justification but just recognizing that endless hatred for someone especially giving the fact that the victim wasnt torn by the action it just doesnt seem productive. There are people that definitely deserve the negative attention but i just dont see cody being one of those people. If you disagree dont come at me ready to murder me, just tell me why you dont agree.
