Max Tegmark - What is the Far Far Future of the Universe?

preview_player
Показать описание
When we speak about the future of the universe, we mean when our sun burns out, when galaxies collide, when everything flies apart and ultimately evaporates. Do the untold billions and trillions of years from now make the far far future irrelevant for us today? No. The far far future of the universe conveys meaning now.

Max Tegmark is Professor of Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He holds a BS in Physics and a BA in Economics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. He also earned a MA and PhD in physics from University of California, Berkeley.

Max recently lost his father. Best of luck for you.

"So far dark energy is just a code word for our ignorance" 👌👌

In whichever modality, this dark world has a beginning and an end.

Hey can anyone knows any physics whatsapp group for deep discussions like this?

I love how the deeper Max gets into explaining a subject, the more it looks like he's got pepper stuck in his nose.

At some point, could dark energy lead to inflation start of new universe?

If dark energy acts repulsively to gravity, then dark energy sounds similar or the same as inflation.

Max is amazing and one of my favorite physicists

When dark energy completely expand beyond gravity, does this mean going beyond the universe?

People say Neil DeGrasse Tyson is the new Carl Sagan ir Richard Feynman. The new Feynman or Sagan is Max Tegmark.

One thing’s certain—we won’t be around long enough to worry about it

For the big crunch to be backed in the scene we need the appearance of the antimatter in the final equation as much as at it was in the beginning but it is no where in the present cosmographoical model. It looks like we need a new universal physical model?

(But still there is a question of the origin of the dark matter as it wasn't appear at the beginning of the bang ? Was it the product the bang?)

Are dark energy and gravity related in some way, like the flip side of coin? Maybe there is a symmetry between dark energy and gravity.

🤔 This may sound stupid and maybe an obvious thought experiment but ... When I think of the big bang and expansion one thing always has followed me? When you drop a drop of fish soap into a greesy pan of water 😆 There is rapid expansion and nothing is left while. Is it possible the universe is greese? The soap is the bang? And the nothing left is dark energy that has been used up?

That thing which we don't know is becoming even bigger. This subject just keeps becoming confusing.

Stuff, Dark energy.

A value with this many 'zero'

What about Dark matter?.

This is amazing.

These vids are too short, specially some of the legends you have on 🤷🏻‍♂️
