Oh my gosh I love the Spiderwick Chronicles. You can easily read all five books in one day. They're so fun and the illustrations are really well done! If you like those, you should check out the Edge Chronicles. The first book in that series is called Beyond the Deep Woods.

The Giver is my favorite middle grade book! I think you'll love it. And I just taught the first Spiderwick to my fifth graders and they loved it.

I definitely prefer The Series of Unfortunate Events to the Spiderwick Chronicles. All The Bright Places absolutely killed me oh my god. So good. You always get so many interesting books! I feel the same way about Ebooks too 😆

I hope you enjoy all your new books! I know the problem of buying lots of books, I also buy lots of books while I still have books on my shelves to read. But I enjoy buying books too much to stop doing it. And as long as a person can afford it and such, I think there's nothing wrong with it. I enjoy looking at my shelves and seeing my books, read and unread. I like looking forward to a book, before I start reading it (and admire it on my shelf). I have to be in the mood for books, and sometimes I find a book on a good deal but I'm not straight away in the mood to read it. But then a while later I do feel in the mood and I read it. Sometimes I read a book that I bought a couple of years ago but hadn't read yet. I still have lots of books on my shelves that are unread (though admittedly in a few I've lost interest in - I'll clear it out sometime). I'm happy with my book collection and I love looking at my shelves and finding the book I feel in the mood for reading. I'm currently going through a bit of a reading slump though.
It's interesting about cussing, I don't think there is anything wrong with mild cussing and on Dutch TV it happens more than in American TV where it sometimes gets 'bleeped out' (I don't think we use any 'bleeps' here but I could be wrong since I don't watch a lot of TV nowadays, I watch more DVDs). It seems to me the Dutch people, or at least the TV channels, don't mind as much when someone uses a swear word (I don't think there are swear words in TV shows for kids). When I think about it, English has more cuss words than I think Dutch does (I think English has more words and meanings in general). You have so many uses for the f-word. We don't have things like that as much. It's a different culture. I have no problem with it if someone says a cuss word when something bad has just happened. I don't like it when people use too many swearwords or when the swearwords are offensive (ie. I think using the word 'gay' in the meaning of something or someone being 'stupid' is offensive and wrong, and likewise for the Dutch equivalent.).

One of my favorite Middle Grade series is The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy. It has been one of the few series that actually made me laugh out loud. I love it! I feel that it's underrated, so I want to spread the word for it everywhere! Great video :D

Be proud of me, I waited the whole way to the end of your video before rushing down here to comment (wanted to see if you remembered the movie title first!), you ready?! It was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! No one in my life has seen this movie and I was OBSESSED with it! I had it on VHS back in that day!! Lol there was another movie I was obsessed with then about a mum and daughter who move around a lot, and the mum always had abusive boyfriends, and the girl's hamster died or something, and I wish I could remember the name of that movie!! Excellent video, you always brighten up my day with your positivity and chat!

Nice jumbo book I'm reading (don't slap my hand through the screen) "in a dark, dark wood" by Ruth Ware and "Spelled" by Betsy Schow. Spelled is a twist on Emerald City and I'm cracking up! You'd like it!

omg you should totally read a series of unfortunate events! i read the first one when i was in high school and absolutely loved it! i think you will really enjoy it. I'm planning on reading the whole series and am super excited! btw i just want to say that i love you and your videos you are always so excited and happy in your videos and I love that, you always make me smile when i watch you! :)
